Lamya Jamac is co-founder of Stichting Tarbiyyah and has participated in the mentoring program over the past few months. We spoke to Lamya and asked about her view on the importance mentorship.

“Mentorship, to me, is a guiding partnership where experience meets guidance, supporting personal and professional growth. FE has really helped cultivating, sharing experiences, and providing the support needed to break my personal barriers and reach my aspirations.

The most significant takeaway that has been for me personally is the transformative power of personalized guidance and shared experiences of Stephany interesting cooperate journey and sharing her knowledge. Witnessing the impact the mentor program had on me is simply amazing. The support, guidance, and the exchange of knowledge on female leadership and presentation skills has been a major growth in my personal mentoring program and has really shaped my view on leadership as a whole.

My advice is, be open and honest to learning from diverse perspectives, embrace challenges as opportunities for growth, actively seek feedback, build a network of support, and remember that your journey is unique — embrace it, stay true to yourself, and trust in your abilities to navigate the path ahead.”
