Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG4)

Bringing lifelong learning to women.

At FÉ, it’s a key priority to integrate SDG4 (Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education) into our mentoring program focused on elevating the next generation of female leaders and mentors. We believe in taking actionable steps to bring lifelong learning to women, through women.

In summary, SDG4 is important for women, especially POC, because it seeks to provide equal opportunities, empower individuals, and break down barriers that hinder personal growth and development. It aims to create a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone has the chance to thrive through education.

By integrating SDG4 into its mentoring program, FÉ is committed to equipping women with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to become the next generation of leaders and lifelong learners. We recognize the responsibility of leaders to prioritize mentorship and cultivate a strong community of women supporting each other in their personal and professional journeys.

What are Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action, established by the United Nations in 2015, to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. There are 17 in total, addressing current world widely recognized challenges for humanity.  The struggles addressed are related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace, and justice. They aim to create a better and more sustainable future for all. You can retrieve more information about the program on the official website.

A common gap globally, is the lack of diversity in workplaces and leadership positions. At FÉ we’re on a mission to bring mentorship to women and to support each other. There’s a huge responsibility for leaders— in any field of play — to make mentoring a priority and to help cultivate the next generation of leaders and mentors.

At FÉ we’re building a space for women, through women, where you can support each other’s growth through a mentor and mentee collaboration. Characterized by advice and guidance, mentorship marks out a path towards professional growth and future leadership roles.

Our Manifesto

We will ensure that our mentoring program provides equal opportunities for women from diverse backgrounds to participate. We will actively seek mentors who represent a wide range of industries, experiences, and perspectives to create an in-depth and inclusive learning environment.

02 | Lifelong Learning

FÉ's mentoring program will focus on developing essential skills in women, such as leadership, communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving. It will emphasize the importance of lifelong learning and support women in acquiring new knowledge and skills throughout their personal and professional journeys.

FÉ will continuously evaluate and assess the effectiveness of its mentoring program in relation to SDG4. It will collect feedback from participants, track their progress, and make necessary improvements to ensure the program's alignment with SDG4 targets. We will share success stories and promote the achievements of our mentees and mentors to inspire others and create awareness about the value of mentoring.
